I have to decide to recognize the people who are legends of the game. You might think this is flawed, but I have come up with a system to be the 50 Greatest of all time......

<span style='color:Red'>The Top 50 Requirements</span>
1. First, they have to Great of course. They cant be average cant be bad, Great!!!!

2. Certain Amount of wins and losses. They should have a recored over .500 with 400-500 wins

3. They didnt cheat, if you dont give your-self wins use speed-gear, or ask for wins, and you didnt leave games when you were losing a lot of times. Then you are in

Those are the Requirements, I wanted to give the top 50 Players Of all time a User title, if your not selected. You cant take it. Because the Top 50 players of all time should get one. Plus, that wouldnt be fair for others.

I didnt Forget the Top 10, Top 5 Top 3, and The Number 1 of all time. I will give them special User titles for them.

What the hell is so great about them? Only one fighter in that list, and that is TarkanX, has had BIG tournament success. By big, meaning over 100 fighters joined. Sure they are good fighters, but great? Without accomplishment, there is no "great".

Anyways, this is just another ass kissing topic. Just name all your friends as "great". As a matter of fact, don't list them by username, just list your "greats" by their first name. Then later on, someone posts "Hey, you forgot about me, thought we were friends." Yeah, way to go. Bad topic. Should be closed.

I don't find this topic very good. I believe there are or were some old school fighters who I would say that are worth the 'top 50' but were forgotten over time...so to that note, I don't find it fair for people to say who they think is the top 50...cuz most likely, they are gonna put down who their friends are (like someone else said) and someone is bound to make a big joke out of this and put someone who's been pwned by just about every person in the game...but put him there just to give him props. I guess I don't count as one of the 'top 50'...and I find it sadening to me...when I really am good. I really don't like this topic...its a big putdown to the oldschoolers who are really good but don't really make themselves known to everybody (like myself...only known to a few.)

well... even thought my name will never comes up. know that i finalized in the NOTS tournaments which still means something. in that sent fights... only pip99 was able to withstand me !
does it makes me a top player... maybe not. but you gotta know i still do not play this game too much.
does that makes me not eligible just because i don't play for ranks. again, not at all.
it only means i still think of this as a game and not a life or death matter like many thinks !

as for being known... that is th eproblem. to be known you gotta have fought people, and that's actual problem.

greatest can only be known by the list the people gives you with no criteria.

all those names were his and that's why he is known and always in the top 10

As for best of all time...time is always moving forward, and there's a lot of ppl who dont get enough credit on this game neway like tmyapp as ssj said. He should be greatest of all time cause he made the entire game. Only a handful of ppl know how he fight cause i mean when do we ever see him on? Last time i remeber seeing his screen name was the day of the update for like 20 minutes and he was off into the night. eh but u never know, he might sneak a game or 2 on here or there on a different name cause i'm sure everyone would wanna fight him.. a good way to maybe weed out the best ever, would be to make a spesific section that shows the winners of all the official sfo sponsered tourneys. That way any time someone wins they can be known as a best ever...cause this is more or less who u think is best in your mind. there's ppl like jin^kazama who is more than tough...that didnt even get mentioned for a while, and i'm sure some ppl who are great who just dont play anymore. And also kats like sybrd who post on these forums and do more for the actually community that almost nebody...how do they get recognized? Then there's the arrogant ppl, who yeah maybe they are awesome and have a lot of wins/tourney victorys to they name but act ridiculousand stuck up and brag about how good they are or just wanna rub it in nonstop to neone they beat. yep, this definatley is tough because nobody opinion should be better than anyone elses, but not everybody is going to see eye to eye on the selections.

we were #### back then... you consider this era beter then what it was back then. continu to dream on dude, the best from the best are all gone i seen quite a few people taking their place. and you're not even near the top yourself. you know what. you only see the top of the iceberg cause you simply never looked back on SFO history. because if you did you would remember how well the tournaments back in 2001 were all sucessfull tournament compared to the number of people ditching the tournaments today.

tmyapp is int he legend spot not just for creating the whole game, but because even thought i defeated many players with sentinel. his cyclops was just better then i was. and if people are better then i am, then cearly they are either better then average, either very lucky ! and he does play a lot. every update he's there with his name accepting every chalenge or even creating a few games himself. you're just neer there at the right time. he plays a lot during the night. but for now he can't cause you guys gives him too much things to do so he doesn't have time to play anymore because of you guys !

That way any time someone wins they can be known as a best ever...cause this is more or less who u think is best in your mind. there's ppl like jin^kazama who is more than tough...that didnt even get mentioned for a while, and i'm sure some ppl who are great who just dont play anymore. And also kats like sybrd who post on these forums and do more for the actually community that almost nebody...how do they get recognized? Then there's the arrogant ppl, who yeah maybe they are awesome and have a lot of wins/tourney victorys to they name but act ridiculousand stuck up and brag about how good they are or just wanna rub it in nonstop to neone they beat. yep, this definatley is tough because nobody opinion should be better than anyone elses, but not everybody is going to see eye to eye on the selections.

How many can play a character using ALL their moves and not the same ones over and over again and use them effiencietly? All these new people around here talk about who they can beat on our lists when if they were here in 2002 or 2003 they wouldnt probably even be in the top 50..Back then being in the top 20 was a big accomplishment because there were so many good fighters and there was no way to be cheap at some points in time..I have people from 2004 on my list and thats as far as I go because I dont believe that if you use spiderman or sentinel or was a cheapass with cyclops that you deserve to be on ANYONES list for that matter...You people talk about being able to beat those people nowbut when we were all around it was crazy..I beat everyone on my list at least once AND thats the truth and they've beaten me all in all the greatest of all time come from the past.... so how can any lists be any good ? they are mere opinions based on who you defeated or who you did never defeat. those lists will never be accurate reguardless of whoever has been mentionned more often then others. the best hint i can give to anybody is... do not try to be the best. just play it for the fun of playing without any real goal without any real thing to do. ju8st play for fun perhaps you'll play less ont he game, but you'll have a better time each times !

1.RyusInvasion-Ryusinvasion in my view the king of ryu and always will be, no matter how many times no matter how hard me or dark_blanka tried he was unstoppable, but dat was when he was on my pc, on his pc the one with fast internet he'd stand a chance but still i couldn't touch him,i have so much respect for him damn yo only iif he came back I'd fight it out with him every second he came online

2.Metal_Ken-He was like a god when i faced him on turbo he fliped around my ryu when i was on dial-up poop yo he would just throw super hadokens in the air for fun den when i had him in danger mode he came back instantly and owned me, I got so much respect for him it not funny

3.Dark_Blanka-What can i say about my brother, a ****y bitch who'd call me a #### and would kick me out of his room when he hogged the fast computer to himself.He'd kick me out his room when I'd watch him fight (so i wouldn't steal his moves), now he a retired lil punk who might return but hopefully he won't and it'll be for the good of me and my enjoyment http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif but now i am a replica of him, he told me his moves; but I'm nicer and I don't kick my little brother out and i let him watch me and copy my moves, But i just wanted to experience properly a good fight with him. Especially when he beat him in a tournament, he just came and beat me up for no reason just to take out his anger. Thats the thing...the same as to what SSJKarma said, I don't actually try to go out there and do everything in my power to be known...I just go in and fight...a few people know me BUT not all of them on the forums. The ones who do didn't list me because they put down the 'best vets' or 'friends' of theirs or as someone else put 'people they couldn't beat'. Another reason people don't really know me is because 1. My rank (cuz I'm not top 5 a lot of the times and 2. I don't sit in the chatroom long and talk and finally 3. As I said before, some of the people who do know me are not in the SFO Forums. They are probably in Battlegrounds but not this one.

As I said before, I'm good and I know I'm good, I really don't need someone else to prove me different. If I was to rate myself between a N00B and a L.A.K. (Legendary Ass Kicker)...I'll say I'm more in the middle but leaning more towards the L.A.K. I can't say I can beat every single person out there...but I know I am good enough to give a good challenge...win or lose as I'll always say.

Uber-Popularity isn't really my thing in SFO, but I don't mind being known by a few people...its better to be known a little than to be not known at all.

Hmm interesting i was in everyones list apart from 2 both of which have used to flame the poop out of me.

I mean theres a lot of people that have passed through sfo and had theright pc and gaming skill and social skills but some just didnt play or the way they acted on the gaem and forum effected how people judge the players and stuff. I mean clans,apart from me and my fellow missfits, what other clan lasted so long, and still going mind and how succesful we were, you have to include that sort of stuff, and again tourneyments. I mean i could list about 6 or 7 and thats pushing it and id have to include myself that made a massive impact on the game and both the forums i mean theres so many players that are too ****y/dumb to make a real impact on the forums but were great on the game and on the other hand loads of players that made an impact on the forum and were good fighters but just didnt cut the mustard versus the best. The 6 or whatever, how manys fighters i could list, would be pretty accurate ive been here for a long time and have been involved in both the game and forum.But that would just complicate the topic further.

I wasnt talking about people being biast,i mean i could post the people and i woudnt be biast and i could write a passage about why, but then id have to name the people who were fliping amazing players but just didnt have the same sort of impact,the MAIN example is Tarkanx made a massive impact 01 but buy early 02 was not much really, were in comparsion someone like Nferno666 and Championx have consistently owned from the early days but you can argue what have they won?Excatly nothing..nferno gets the poop kicked out of him nearly every tourneys hes done and Championx hasnt been much better yet there still great players,and what sort of things have the done in clans theyd be in my top 20 but theres only about 6 or 7 that made an amazing impact throughout the whole game. Sorry mate but hell no dude! I no more about tmyapp and so do many other players he doesnt post at BG and doesnt / didnt play the game maybe even a 10th of how much i used to play. Another thing that has to be taken into considertion is how well people can play with all the charecters.That would probaly take my list into about 3 or 4 people maybe.

MasterX05= I have to keep it real with you.Things have changed the level of game play has changed sense Expert was added.pip said it like it is...at best alot of people would only make the top 150-200.I myself was never a great fighter but I suppose to my active person in the forums..my status was often pushed up....I call that hype.

pip99=Yeah all that you've said is true.When I think about it you said it best "Your above average but your not a great fighter".painfull to hear,but it was the truth.When I recall everything everyone has accomplished I'm just above average.Alot of people here currentily...are left over fighters that didn't make an impact on turbo....and now they pose a greatier advantage now.And that comment Kill_dem_all said about Ryu'sInvasion being the greatest ever....we both know that's not true..because you perfected him in that match against killing corps. Inwhich missfits won 3-0.Also yeah you have to be pretty active with the community..and put it done in the game properily..

Overall the list should be viewed as the people that have made a steady impact. I notice people like=

Liquidsnake78,Estset,Nferno666,Blank09,ect.

Continuiousily fight on...They should recieve some form of acknowlegement

But if we are tlaking about tournament success....

only Liquidsnake & Estset would get respect from that 4.....cutting that what I just said in half...

but then Nferno666 & Blanka09 has done more for the community as far as helping users than Estset and liquid....

If I had to give a most dedicated reward....

It comes down to that 4.....

I have to respect longevity..and strenght...

Anyways, back to subject. I laugh at most of these lists and I am still against on listing top 50, cause it would be just too hard to name all and would be completly unfair to those who are left out or are overlooked.

At my time, you would start with TarkanX, Token, Airlock, Jr, leftyfb, Zing79, iTALY etc. (Names you heard or read through history that people told you)

How about these names: Troy88, subzero565, georgepong, Jordansux666, PC, Shiñakuma, Selvin, eman23, Shinjuko, OmniSlash, Stealth Dragon, HoTSauCe, etc. (Names most of you overlook)

I am not trying to take anything away from anybody, but most of you wouldn't even know how good these fighters were to even rank them along with today's fighters.

Oh and guess what? We didn't have turbo or expert mode. Just ol' school "Normal" mode in which right now, you all complain that it is too slow and some of you even leave games if it starts out on "Normal".

How good or bad could these fighters been if the game started out with Turbo and Expert? How good or bad would any of you been if you played at the "Normal" mode era? Would you be impatient with the speed of "Normal" mode like you are now? Those questions will not be answered in a Top 50 list.

I see my name in some of these lists around the 30's, which is pretty damn funny, cause I beleive there were over 400-500 (no exxageration on the #) fighters that were and are still waaay better than myself. Of course, I am not going to bash myself that hard. I had a kind of prime moment as well for a short period a very long, long time ago.

I wonder how Tidus2k2 plans on making a fair "Hall of Fame" without overlooking anyone.

HeH had i joined it i know i probaly would have beaten life. My wolve would destroy everythink hes gotbar his spidey and then i would have picked sent and hes one of the top sent players but my sent would probaly win but fair play he won and poop man my ken...i had the best fliping ken and wolve int he whole game by quite a bit, Invasions ken and estsets were pretty sweet too...Yeah hes good but i dont think out of 4 years i could even begin to put him in the running yet alone the top 5. And i mean metal ken ive always kicked the poop out of him not a bad thing!He knows but but he seems to own most people hed be in my top 50. And the amount of time expert modes been about i dont think you can say it makes a big difference to the sort of impact a players had the best players will learn how to play with expert mode.

i can see wat estset is saying, when i play turbo i can beat just bout anyone i fight but wen it comes to expert i win bout half of my fights. in expert mode people abuse the lag and the new speed to send out hoards of hadukens. the amount of lag in the expert games make it almost impossible to even predict where ur opponent will pop up. if we were to gather everyone and set up a tourny in turbo mode that would be away to find out who is the best in history, even normal mode, but of course that would be hard like someone stated awhile ago most of the best fighters of the past are gone and cant defend there honor, so like domincan said we could neva find out who is the best of all time, meh

What believe when I say this for everyone...that we are all the best when it counts. Yeah, there may be some that should just give up hope because they suck so badly, but when they continue to try...they eventually enter into their prime and become 'one of the best' for a time. We are ALL good in SFO...some are just greater than others, some are more terrible than others...but the competition drive is what keeps us coming to try to be 'one of the best' or 'the best'.

you know i didn't even read the last 5 pages for what i se eup to now are only people debating about their self ego !

the only thing one men can sayis to know his own power, nobody can even try to judge a person.
not even after a 30 matches in a row against the same person, i know i am good, maybe not a expert and believe me, ever since expert and turbo came in those people who are supposedly good with ryu can only become good casue they are hadouken happy players who just can't stop and the fastest they can shoot their hadoukens the fastest they can kill the oponent because he won't have time to react to them.

that's why expert cannot even be compared cause for now its so fast that anybody trowing hadouken's for th ewhole match knows the other guys in expert will have a problems dodging them all ! that's also why ever since expert came out blocking is like a herll on earth and super jumps have been even more used then what it was already used why because super jumps creates latency which can be used to make your opponents even less responsive.

so tell me why would you be considered any good because you can throw hadoukens all the way till you win ?
really, many of you would play on normal and be killed by all the old schools, not because we are good in it, but because we can adjust in it which most of you can't even do it. i hate expert mode for all its bugs. and only tmyapp knows how many there is. yet i'm trying to adapt to it, just like i adapted to TURBO when it came out.

sorry to say this, but no list can be judged or even debated upon. they are merely opinions of the persons view. even if you say you played enough to know who's best. you can'T deny the fact that there are 200,000 other people you just never fought at all ! which means even you're fliping list is all wrong cause you don't even know half of the people who actually fights everyday ! for you to know who is th ebest you have to be here 24/7 7 days a week for the next 52 weeks ! now you'll see who is good, but i doubt any of you have the life to make that happen. so in a way we will just never know who is th ebest. this is a useless case !

only problem i see with this idea is that now that this game is flooded with n00bs who havent been here form the beginning like us vet's, is that we arent gonna get a true list unless we get the vets to post aswell........

onto topic...i really dont think this whole top 50 would work...theres jus too many ppl...lots of ppl forgotten too...u need to be able to have all those ppl show up at their prime...and than have an all out war...if not then...i really think that this whole thing relies on the most well-known names and respected ppl...

TarkanX had a huge long lasting impression here, not just cause people thought he was cool. The guy came out as the best player and held it for a long time. ...wow we just went over this like 10 times...literally. If you beat someone that was listed on the greatest list doesnt make you great.

Ok think about it like this, theres persons "A" *"B" *"C", person B beats person A, then Person A has to fight person C, and person C has beaten person B from before. That doesnt mean that C is going to beat person A with ease, he might even lose.

Moral of the story is, you beating revenge doesnt really mean anything.

ANYONE can beat anybody with luck. So showing off that screenshot means NOTHING. Also, for all we know his fighting conditions were bad.

Stuff like that is irrelevant. I think 1 thing that determines a great fighter is what kind of an impact that person makes in this game. Beating someone proves nothing (dunno howmany times i said that..lol)

I know i haven't done much to even be noticed THAT much, let alone be called a great fighter and i have screenies of beating down lots of people. But they mean nothing when it comes to a subject liike this.

I just think if tarkan really was that good, then he wouldnt have started sucking so soon....

Da_vipa has been playing about the same duration as me, and he is still just as good, if not better than when I was in my prime, which was 3 years ago...that's what a legend is.

italy, less then a year... as long as i remember it was 02-03 when he was named the clan destroyer, and i rmemeber him playing ever since august 01 which is when th egame came online for the first time ! i remember the guy enough to know he can still beat many people who think of him as ####ish now a days, i still see people getting raped by that shin-shoryuken which isn't really supposed to be able to hit at all ! even worst i still see many of you guys still getting hurt by those raging demons !

yet many of you thinks he's not good... well i still think otherwise. and if da_vipa for you is legend then so be it. but must i remind you that one who still plays after 1 year at this game and that to still be the best, really isn't the best. cause look at what he achieved look at how people see him. then look at how people see tarkanX, its obvious tarkan has done a lot more impressions on people then what da_vipa have done in more then two years ! thus i doubt him to be as tarkanX. you see fighting isn't all that matters, TarkanX didn't just fought, he helped the community created a dojo which was pretty much sucessfull, educated the ####s not by just fighting them off, but by teaching them how to play. did you ever see da_vipa do that ? nope never he still fights and that's all he ever did. does he thinks of others while he plays, nope he thinks of himself and that's all and that's exactly why people do not look at him the same way !

many people here thinks fighting is all that mater to be a great person, but if something has been proven many many many times, is that fighting is just not enough to be a great person. and that is a fact !

iTALY: Once tag was implemented, alot of users started "sucking". Some didn't want to deal with the lag to the point that they refused to adjust. The first release of tag was the worse lag SFO/XMvsSF ever experienced. poop, the best thing TMyApp ever did was getting rid of that horrible lag, but alot of users still felt that the game didn't feel the same, like too buggiesh? I remember PROfessor giving up on the game on that very day when tag was first released.

Whats so special about a strip club? Oh wow, its a bunch of nude girls who wanna tease the h311 out of you, but you can't take 'em home and screw there brains out...also to say, they walk away with your hard earned money and they aren't even your wife or g/f. Personally, I find them a waste of time, also a bunch of happy home wreckers.
