Here's a topic for all you football fans (what you Americans might call "soccer"). Pre match commentary, transfer, team and player gossip from the Carling Cup to the Champions League are all welcome.

So lets start with tommorrow's internationals, can England overcome Austria or will they suffer to another shameful defeat?

Basketball is way better... Football is just running and trying to get to your opponents goal. Basketball requires dribbling skills, passing techniques, and accuracy.

u also need acuracy is football...maybe not dribbling but u have to be able to handle the ball while running..and thats a bit difficult..an also passing is very important too u dont want to kick it too hard or too soft...

What do you mean, the REAL football ?? You're talking about a game that the hand is used for 99% of the whole damn game and where the ONLY person who is allowed to use his "foot" is just some guy that comes on the pitch for seconds in the entire game.

In my opinion, american football should change the name to handball or something more appropriate. The real football is the game that is played with the foot, and holding the ball with ur hand if you're not allowed to is actually a foul

Dribbling and passing skills? Just check out Christiano Ronaldo and Ronaldinho and they might even redefine the word for you.

And Chosen I'm also with the red devils all the way. They have such a solid team now. A great goalie, a decent defence, a great midfield and an awesome strike force. Chelsea vs Man Utd will be such a great match.

I can understand why you think Maradonna (when he was at his peak), Zidane and of course Ronaldinho are better than Ronaldo. But Okocha does not belong in that list lol, Ronaldo even at this age is said to be one of the best wingers in the game.

What a disgraceful match. Its so funny how a team full of stars on paper just cannot gell. They were lucky to get away with a win because quite simply the match was going no where. Sven at this rate you won't be the England manager for long.

Wrong. Fabio Capello is the manager of England now. Sven resigned after the World Cup in 2006. And if you bother to watch Sky Sports at evening times you'll see NFL highlights on some occasions. I don't bother to watch it because it's so boring.

Basketball Is much better cause the swish sound makes u feel relaxed and cool when u make a shot in football do you want to be tackled by other ppl and get hurt or get neck problems but soccer more dangerous u could brake your leg knee and everything with one hard kick by someone u KO'ED... and i wonder want Lebron team he choosing... if he pick the Knicks thats a retard not to be rude to him but im just saying thats the worst team ever Knicks dont get money cause they lose alot of times...
