OK....I play the Web version.... When I try to fight someone or go to Story Mode.... I choose my characters.. and then a black screen just shows..... I cleared my cache and reinstalled Shockwave so many times.... Is there something wrong with the web version....

You might be low on disk space like me..
This has accured to me also..
You may need the most recent version of macromedia...shockwave..
Also...you may need to test sfo out on a different browser....if your using aol..for some reason lately aol hasn';t been kind to sfo users..
Firefox works well..but it freezes in my opinion..
but it will work...
What i usually do is play sfo on firefox for awhile..then get on Internet explorer and that problem usually goes away....
also if you have Yahoo content on your computer..you should remove it..
Yahoo is a real MB whore....I'm surprised yahoo wont steal all your cookies too... http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/sleepy.gif

I feel bad for people with AOL, they can't download the game unless someone sends it to them.

I tried downloading it.... When I tried to log in... It wouldn't let me... It always said that I had the outdated version of the game... and I know I got the latest version... So downloaded version was out of the picture...

I'm on dsl and web version still doesn't work for me... http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif Maybe I will just retire SFO for awhile till DWX comes out...

make sure you downloaded all the files and didn't just pick the quick upgrade.
Sometimes a long time ago i would have a similar problem with my web version,it was usually fixed by deleting my cookies, temp files and history of sfo, then when i went back to it it worked fine.

the login issue can be fixed by unistalling shockwave COMPLETELY from add/remove programs then goting to your C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed folder and then delete the Shockwave 8 and Shockwave 10 folder if they exsist. then reboot and download the OLD shockwave 8.5 from our download section and try to see if you are able to log in after then..if still nothing then go ahead and goto macromedia.com to grab the latest version of shockwave without unistalling the new one and try again. if all that still fails then it might be a firewall issue which if so just repost and i'll see what i can do
