Hi everybody, this is your favorite announcer, SSJKarma !

To those who do not know this show, let me recap what this is all about. This is a trivia show where i will be asking questions, and the first guys to answers gets points. when i 'll have enough of asking questions... i will be pointing out swho won the show.

let me also recap the rules for its been a while since then.

Roll: nope... at the end of river city ransom there is 2 final fight... 1 against simon, and 1 against th etwins who protects the roof acess where simon is. during that fight there is a music that plays, that music is not form river city ransom... it is a tribute to another game from tecmo. the question is... from which game is that music from ?

hint: its from another tecmo brawler game

when you fight the twins, music from double dragon plays. since it was the dragon twins, they played a song from double dragon.

I loved my Game Gear, Sonic was just too good.

of course the game gear had better graphics and such, but nintendo gameboy still was more affordable, efficient (the four batteries would last twice as long as the gamegear's six), and had better games. most of the good games for game gear were even better on the genesis.

the sega gamegear even thought it was battery hungry, it held its own againstt he gameboy a and was everything the gameboy wasn't. it had colors, it had great button positionning and even the games where incredibles. but was it a sucess ? not quite...

ledmonkey, you truly know your martial arts... even thought it has started as a dancing style it finished as one of the hardest style of fighting to be learned. coming up from the brasil during the war, captive were to train in that art until they would get a chance to escape and then use it against their captors !

in the very first street fighter game, which capcom made was the first fighting game to have used the style of KARATE CHAMP which was a pretty sucessfull fighting game on the old NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM. street fighter was live and had a real sens of fighting game. the only problem was that the moves were sluggish due to the controls back then who weren't very developped. that was around 1988. in 1992 the sequel to the game came out with all the bugs in the first gamecorrected, and it even had better graphics. the first game had a pretty young ryu with almost battle experience coming up in the fighter scene. last boss was named sagat ! (that's where you saw ryu shoryukenned sagat and gave sagat his ugly scar on the chest) ryu wasn't beefy and he was small, wore white outfits using shoto style and red hair. he also had wooden japanese shoes to go along with his outfit !

have none of you played any kind of marve| fighting games?

for one ×men vs. sf was the first marve| capcom crossover which came out way before marve| vs. capcom. i might add sfo is based upon ×men vs. sf.

but it isn't the first marve| fighting game.

the first marve| fighting game was ×men : children of the atom.

as for the system, there can be three answers.

it first came out on the cps1 (errr... arcade for all of you who don't play emu)

then it was ported to the sega saturn, then eventually ported to the ps1.

so my complete answer is ×men : cota for the cps1

Yet mastermax did it again, unfortunetly the bonus question isn't for him even thought he called by its right name...

even thought the engine of the game was capcom based, which was the first time ever that marve| did joins forces with capcom for something, the game itself was marve| doing and its truly they who had the original idea, you see their is a difference from producing and programming, capcom did the game, but its marve| who wanted it thus its their game not capcoms game !

i would accept the answer for ARCADES for there ar elots of systems in that market and that most of you just played the games and never really wondered what was under the hood. thus i will give the 5 points to the first to have mentionned arcades !

the first city is liberty city

then you move onto san andreas, and eventually onto vice city.

making a total of 3 cities.

but then again i don't know if you are including the city in the expansion of the game in london. i never did play the london game.

the answer i searched for was truly VIRTUA FIGHTER but it didn't come up on PSX nor SATURN first...
let me explain why i take this answer over led's one !

first of all, *i asked which fighting game brought up the genre to the 3D WORLD. all the games you mentionned ar eall good game who used some 3D, but they were all 2D games at heart ! but ever since VIRTUA FIGHTER came up, the comanies started the take on REAL 3D. a good example to differenciate REAL 3D to FAKE 3D is to look at games like DUKE NUKEM 3D and DOOM might as well have been in 2D and you wouldn't have seen the difference ! but games like VIRTUA FIGHTER and TEKKEN were truly 3D.

KILLER INSTINCT was 3D because the SNES was the first console to ever try to really do 3D. games like STAR FOX, VORTEX and DIRT TRACK FX all tryed to make 3D for real, but th econsole was too unadvance to that and that's why nintendo had started the agreement with sony to do a system 32 bit which later sony ditched and did the PSX !

thus all answers before VIRTUA FIGHTER cannot be taken as real 3D. they were nice tries at it thought !

if you really want to learn a lot about the history of gaming, go get an old console and start playing all the games you can on it. most games require a first hand experience in order to know a game.

ok i know this answer, and you all are going to think i looked this one up and cheated, but i have a story for how i ran accross this answer.

last year i had an assignment to make a commercial for our computor class, i of course did nintendo and made my own clips using a vcr. one of the games i featured on it was street fighter 2010. while looking for information to display before the clip, i came accross a game called street fighter '89, which was the original title of the game. it was made to be a sequal to street fighter. and final fight and street fighter share the same charectors and universe.

Oh my god, someone actually knew it without researching it first...

the real story behind it was that there was no STREET FIGHTER II in developement. the game was called STREET FIGHTER 89 for it was to be the sequel to the first street fighter as mastermax said, but thing is it wasn't a fighting game it was a BEAT EM UP, thought the fighting games of today are called BEAT EM UP games by genre,the BEAT EM UP never was about the fighting games. back then capcom wanted to create a game that truly deserved the name STREET FIGHTER thus creating CODY, GUY and their mayor friend MIKE HAGGAR to fight the mad gear gang !

but during the last stages of design, the game wasn't called STREET FIGHTER anymore for it wasn't a sequel to the first game as it was supposed to be. thus they gaven it the name you know today, FINAL FIGHT ! street fighter II came out about 2 years after that and brought a whole new sens to the words FIGHTING GAMES.

so Mastermax got 20 more points... i am starting to wonder if any of you will actually be able to beat him up on his gaming history !
