Hi everybody !
you all been waiting for a long time to see this coming back and it has, its coming back with a vengeance and some new graphics. a lot of ideas have been thrown for this thing and most didn't make the cut. but for now its still good enough for release so without further delay, here is the slot machine again, not to mention the market place where you can trade your tokens for ryu items.

why is it called casino now instead of slot machine ?
good question, may it be because i now have a way to add card games later on ?

for now enjoy rolling that machine and winning tokens. for now there are only ryu items but eventually more items will make their ways into the machine. let's just be patient for this is a long run event that might not end here.

as for the rest, i'm quite bored of seeing this code and i had other ideas not related that i wanted to put into motion as well, so i'll just take a break from this. though i'm not letting this die, so if you find any bugs, dont hesitate to tell about it and i'll see to its fixing.

UPDATE: 2 oct, 2009
Fixed the numbers of tokens when you win.
it will now be 1 token per win instead of 2.
and it will now give 5 tokens instead of 10 when you hit the jackpot.

the inverses are still possible, you still lose 5 tokens when you hit tripple shadaloo and you will still lose 1 token if you a shadaloo logo anywhere ! with this i'm back to the original plan and it should be harder to gain things.

Fixed the +2 token bug. If it ever tells you that won +2 tokens, please tell me which combination you've had !

awesome very easy I bought a ghost ryu and combined it with the ghost ryu color..so my ryu is casper

and now i still got 50 points tell me can we save those tokens and wait to use em say when a ken or something comes out?

however, its almost a little to easy, and even though its cool now i feel that with it being so easy to win the value of casino and the perks will die down like theres nothing to rlly work for, cause uwin almost eveytime so the appreciation will not be so high.

i think if you get more nothings, and lose more tokens, then have 1 outta certain amount of chance where the jackpot comes, it would make it more casino like,

cause if gambling was this easy id be rich. I mad 100 tokens in 5 minutes.

You do realize that this is basically gambling..

There is no skill or talent involved. It's all luck. You and the 20 people who got the same thing as you were just as lucky as you.

There's no need to bash the Event just because others share your same prize.

Facts time...

#1 - tmyapp asked me to win more easily because it used to be too hard back then. so i made it 2 tokens per win instead of just 1. nothing i cannot change back ! http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/bigsmile.gif

#2 - i am losing more often then i win against this. so i guess it depends on your luck purely !

#3 - 1 out of 5 characters can be gotten, you lose as soon as you get shadaloo on your screen. but beware the numbers... 125 possibilities... heres the rundown of it and figure by yourselves how its more luck then anything else.

see its almost 50% so its just your luck.

#4 - if jackpot goes back down to 5 tokens instead of 10 and if tokens goes back to 1 instead of 2 when you win... it would make the game have a lot less tokens per win and thus make it harder to gain things. of course i could switch one charater for another lose character and it would lean the balance toward the losing side.


overall, we'll see but this was not designed to make it a challenge, more like a fun thing to play when you get bored fighting. also it enables the people to gain some customisation to their characters without the need for special event winning. so i wasn't wanting it to be like real casinos. but if you think it should lose more then it wins then i will change the numbers from here and the next update of it.

for now and until i find a better way to do things you have to go back tot he market item to activate the item. and about the tint, unless tmyapp fixed it, it might not work during second and third rounds in a 1v1 no tag game. besides that it all works as its supposed to.

I had like 30+ tokens that I were going to save until the next character tints came out, like for a bison or what not
now my game starting me over at 1 token.
was that intentional or what???

also my ghost ryu is gone.

he will update it when he gets some extra time im sure. but as for what kam said, it was good he pointed that out.





because i think this thing is great and fun and a great addition to sfo. but it will be even better one day if a few things are added.



basically more games (like Karma said, card games, and other casino type games), and as far as the hard part like Kam said and the rarity of items; i think it would be nice to one day have more items, and maybe some of the games could work differently in the way you earn tokens.


for example:


slots = takes long time to stack up a lot of tokes, but you can stack them up for sure over a long time. also it 'should' i think be a little harder and take longer to stack them up, but like i said you can stack up a lot over a long long time.


card game 1 = hit or miss. you can win a lot or lose a lot so your luck determines if you ever cash out. but to make items even more rare, you could make the winning pretty rare.... and big wins really really rare. : )


other game 1 = same thing as card game 1 except you can bet small or big amounts. that way in the card game 1 you have to have a chunk of tokens to play, but in 'other game 1' its kinda like 'slots' and 'card game 1' combined but its harder to stack small wins like in the slots. this way its more balanced that either of the first two games cause you can rotate the type of bid you want to make. (big or small) even though your chances of winning may be slightly less.




those are just ideas. but yeah dont want to sound ungrateful either. we really appreciate this addition and its awesome just to have it. its fine the way it is, but never hurts to make suggestions if / when you ever decide you have time and want to add to / change it up some to make it more dynamic.



of course only other ideas i have for now would be other character color. you could also earn titles. (like 'big roller' or 'casino pimp')


another thing would be (for maybe some of the rarest items) you could have a colored helper, but that might be too much coding. just an idea. (i know thats never been done before yet)



and also you could unlock rare stages. (another super rare win)


some could even be like 100+ tokens. im not gonna say how much, but the more the better cause the more rare. the bigger the bets can be for the card games, the more the rarest items should cost. sorry if im overdoin it i know i have a habit of that lolz. but if maybe even a small idea of someone's can help its worth the effort.




reguardless a great addition to sfo whether basic or advanced. its nice especially for those who dont have access to custom colors like the newer people to sfo.

unfortunately it uses the creed system and the creed system works only with vindicator on, otherwise it wouldn't remember anything once you'd log out.

as for the bugs you've all mentionned, i don't see them on my end and thus will need to be tested to see, which i'm gonna do as soon as i finish this post. thanks for the feedback. i'll try and fix everything when i'm on, like i do right now ! just be patient and try and be more precise when you there are bugs, like which combination you got that made you win 2 tokens yet won only 1. *that kind of precision because i got a lot of files to check !

So please stop asking him to change the score because it doesnt really matter. He can correct me if I'm wrong, but that kind of thing only matters for 'story or tmc events' that actually give prizes and have a percentage bar for when the story ends.

well the thing is , is that my items such as ghost ryu(which was alrdy activated) was gone aswell, and so i was thinking that since the casino had changed(updated) that we needed to start over , and thts why my tokens were all gone buhmm but now knowing they were never meant to be taken...im kindalike hmm..but no worries.

you are not suppose to lose anything, not saying its not hapenning, but you're not suppose to. but the problem might be on your end though since nobody else seems to have that problem.

also, if you ever, by any chance play with GV not active, then your creed wont be saved when you'll log out. thus you will have to redo everything everytimes. besides that your name still appears in my logs and thus you should be able to go back to the market and activate each of the traded items !

that character is the shadaloo logo. do the mats...

heck i'll do it for you.
5*5*5 = 125 total possibilities.
shadaloo logo takes 25 of those just with the first slot.
now onto that makes 100 possibilities still left to win.
on that at least 9 of those 25 per characters have shadaloo in it.

total = 125

see you got a lot more chances of winning then losing. thats even better then any casinos in las vegas.
let's put those in percent numbers.

Win1 = (60 / 125) * 100 = 48%
Lose1 = (60 / 125) * 100 = 48%
Win5 = (4 / 125) * 100 = 3.2%
Lose5 = (1 / 125) * 100 = 0.8%

so in total...
48 + 3.2 = 51.2% of winning
48 + 0.8 = 48.8% of losing.

that as far as i can tlel is far from the 20% you are claiming !
but the fact stays simple, you guys brag because you won too much if i make you gain 2 tokens per win instead of 1, and you guys brag again when you lose too much when the only thing i touch is the number of tokens you gain by winning.

you guys seriously need a check on your luck meter.

What you see in the store right now are things you can get on your own, while new stages and special colors could be good, it would ask me to give it to you guys personnally instead of just going to get a creed.

as for more casino wise, well at first it was just slot machine, i switched to casino for i had a card game in mind and it still is in development, so when it'll be ready you'll see it appear in-game. but right now i have my mind on something else, something that is not casino related. but don't worry, more will be added eventually.

Also i was thinking like earlier what you said karma why not make it into a casio like game in itself instead of a regular slot thing. Like have alot of games in the casino I know you mentioned it but I mean add things like

Sfo Bingo table, where you have the sfo/×men ppl faces and a number..like wolvy 5.
Sfo roulette
or craps where you can be gven a set of tokens and you can pick all the stuff you want and wager on it
21 where x men cards are worth points and such. Like Chun li is the queen, ryu king, etc and other ppl have numbers by their name

also you can have fun like chuck e cheese games lke instead of wack a mole, it can be wack a bison lmao.
or rice is rght game like plink where u can guess if a card is higher than a certan number than u ear tokens, then u drag and drop them into the machne, and u can win cooler tints, and armor and such like creed wars.

I know im way over my head and alot of this may not be possible but hey worth a shot...
also maybe some ew effects can be like a holy tny and a evil tnt where your character can glow white and black, or a sparkle tnt, where it looks glittery, or a shadow tint, or even an invisible tint.chameleon tint where the character constanly changes colors in the game.. can alrdy feel the lag, but still would be cool.

Alright, whats the deal with this? Who made it impossible to win? I have been playing it for more than 20 minutes and I havent gotten more than 4 tokens except once with a jackpot, and then I lost all my tokens in a row! Before I would easily get more than 10 and get up to 20 for ghosts, but now Im stuck at 1.
