Alabama State Senator Hank Erwin thinks Katrina was God's way of punishing sin. Even more pathetic almost one third of Alabamians polled agree with him

Source: WKRG (http://www.wkrg.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=WKRG/MGArticle/KRG_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1031785332905&path=!news!surveyusa!)

btw, a state senator is not one of the real senators. So who cares what he thinks. Still....

What Erwin stated is old news, but the bit about 38% of Alabamians agreeing is new.

Alabama. 'nuff said, no?

LMAO. Why do people got to live through theoretical crap?

You know what's sad? The losers who spend countless hours figuring out if a situation, such as Katrina, somehow relates in the Bible or religiously. My aunt told me that Nastradamous predicted Hurricane Katrina. Something about that one day, these storms or whatever will change the landscape of the earth.

1. Hurricanes have been changing the landscape of the earth for the past thousand years. Change of landscape is all part of erosion.

2. Who knows how the landscape was shaped 2000+ years ago. There is no proof.

I told her to shut the flip up. =/

Wait, so thinking about it, you're saying all those people that lost their lives due to the Hurricane, it was all to purify the city?
Even the elderly, the young children, the pregnant women that all lost their lives was an act of cleansing?

Seriously, that's f***ed straight up..

Why build land if nature is trying to take it. I think "God" got pissed at them for that. or maybe something else

If people had wisdom, they would have gotten out of New Orleans instead of staying these when people told them that they must leave.

That's f**kin' retarded. Hello, Marti Gras is held at the French Quarter...if God was ever going to purify he would of flooded the French Quarter. A lot of religious commuities lived around the French quarter which is what was flooded the worst.

Way to go God. http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/huh2.gif

Trust me.. which things are bad, God will turn it into Good. Just watch and see.

I won't say it was God's punishing, but I believe that God will turn this into something real good. This is just a test.

God will turn into good? "God" juts left thousands of people homeless in New Orleans, he killed thousands in the tsunami and let MILLIONS homeless there.

WHAT KIND OF flipING BENEVOLANT GOD DOES THAT?

Bob~Marley4004
10-15-2005, 11:15 PM
Homeless? Umm.. I believe they are giving out houses in Texas and such. But man, we are in the last days.. Can you see?

Disaters are happening everywhere.. look at what happen in Pakistan.

Lol... this is really amusing. Whether or not "GOD" did this to New Orleans, I wouldn't know... I believe in God, and the Bible... but trying to make sense out of things in there would do u no good. Trust me, I've learnt about that the hard way more often than not.

Instead of trying to figure out if this hurricane was God's way of "purifying" the city of New Orleans, why not think about how those who are homeless can be helped... and think of how you can in some minute wayy, help those who are helping the victims get back on track.

Bob~Marley4004, I understand where you're coming from with ur analysis. Sodom and Gomorrah comes in mind with things like these... but the mere fact is, we're not sure if THIS was actually God's plan. In the long run, for those who believe, God let's things happen in the world for His own reasons... and we can't rationalize or question them. But then again, that's for those who believe. Those who believe would NEVER understand a reason behind a thousand ppl becoming homeless... in the name of some Supreme entity's grandmaster plan for the fate of the universe.

The flood with Noah part?
You're basing a natural disaster on a chapter written in a fictional book?
