A good idea

I was just thinking that if sfo go down, meaning we are unable to play online anymore "us" that have taken the time to download the game will be unable to use all of the charters in story mode for the fact that we cannot log in or get any wins to unlock the charters sense the story mode fights do not count. So here is a good idea. To be able to unlock a certain charter I think that it would be a good idea to have to go threw the story mode and fight all of them and during the outro of that battle when the story messages come up a password should be given after you win that fight. Then the pass must be placed in the options under that charters name to unlock them.

hmmm... unlocking by playing stoory mode is something that might be a good idea for there are people who really can'T fight with certain characters... aka myself. thought i got all charcaters unlocked due to my status i really care for those who want akuma and can't unlock him or those who want chunli and can't unlock her !

so i think unlocking by beating story mode a few times would be good... not the password thing thought !

I think your idea's pretty good as it does require quite a bit of time to unlock the characters online.

I think your idea's pretty good as it does require quite a bit of time to unlock the characters online.
thats true but im with this idea. it would be good cause story mode doesnt lag and instead of the password why not u just face the guy thats gonna be unlocked in the end like they do in fighting games. they couldve done that with akumas story when he came out, then they couldve done that with ken, then sakura, etc.

Yeah that sounds better then my idea you should have to fight the guy at the end to unlock him ^_~ cool idea.

just so you know... we're not talking about how each char could be in, we will have to wait anyway as the chars aren't made for the game in the first place.

we're talking about how to unlock the already in characters. instead of fighting online and having to win against othe rmembers to unlock characters, you could simply do story mode and unlock them all by yourselves !

i like the idea i remember back on the old sf2 i battled akuma for the 1st time and i was like wtf who's this and wasted me lol.

but yeh it's all good xcept the password part,cus u'd just start posting passwords etc.

like you said you should unlock them by doing story mode and if say....u do it without using continues u get to fight the super hard version of the person ur trying to unlock.

e.g you've just done the last 5 story using no continues,after the fight with bison Shadow lady comes and challanges u etc.

also if yourememebr some of the sf games you'd fight so many rounds and if you did good in them someone might interfere with the fight you were meant to have.Maybe you could sorta do that in the online version.

e.g you've just beaten 20 people not lost once and you go into the chat room and you get challanged by the computer something like"shin bison challanges you" and if you can win maybe you can have unlimited rage for 20 mins or unlock bison something like that.

thanks des. and this is more of what i was talking about. this is a good idea cause it would be better to try and unlock them then to just automatically get them when they come out
