I know Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory (http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/files/files.shtml) and KalOnline (http://www.kalonline.com/) which I find boring after a while. There's of course RuneScape (www.runescape.com) and CokeMusic (http://www.cokemusic.com) which both get boring after a while.

i forgot about enemy territory, thats a pretty good game for free. also there is zdaemon (www.zdaemon.org) which is doom online.
