well the topic description says it all...if you do not like this skin then why not "try" to come up with a new color scheme and create your new_buttons / color for the forum then take a few screenshots of the board or better yet just click on file, save as and save the index of the forum to your comp, once you do that all the icons used on the forum will be saved in which you can edit as you like...you could also try taking a screenshot of a few section of the forum and work on that aswell who knows... http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif once you think you have a "good" skin then provide the color 6 digit Hexidecimal Value code you used for whatever you edited and i'll see if i can make a skin...then if this topic is even "popular" and IF i have time then we have have a poll from the top 10 skins "if ppl decide to make their own" and select the top 2-3 to be created. http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif

BTW, I think you have to get a CSS format from somewhere else, this is just the default format. With the default format, all you can really do is change the colors. That won't make a difference. =/

the best way would be to "save" a few pages of the forum onto your comp that way you grab most if not all the buttons/smiley's that will need editing since they are not perfect when you change the color of the skin since they tend to show white pixels around them (blame Ikonbaord for that)

like i said if you want to take screencaps of the main page then edit things them go ahead but some things you try to edit might be difficult to actually do which is why if you know what your doing use my screenshots and give me the color codes you wish to use and i'll try to make it as close as possible.

well if you have worked on Ikonbaord in the past just try doing creating/editing the CSS provided and try to come up with a color scheme that by giving me the input neccesary from the data i gave on those screenshots and i'll see what i can come up with..artwise you can try to recreate ####uttons like the add reply new, new topic etc...

yes same concept...buttons are buttons but they need to have the exact name of the buttons they will be replacing and they must also be gifs, otherwise it wont work.

well here is it...as of this post the skin i was working on this week is basicly 99.9% done

ok 1st of of Ikonboard is not perfect so unlike other boards that change the color of the default post color font ikonboard does or at least not that i know of...was to lazy to go dig up in the "dead" support places of ikonboard since their basicly is no support these days http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif if you decide to sue this skin then i advise you to change you default black font if that's your font color to something else like white or something that wont make the users here go blind trying to read http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif

alright there you have it...to select the skin goto "your control panel" and then goto "Account Options" the select Nferno-black.

one thing about this skin is that is has MORE features then the ordinary skin which aren't very important but there can be useful like the "spell check" feature. the default skin also has a quick reply option which isn't new_but the new skin also has that enabled for the PM section if you get PM's

CSS is working you bum http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif as i said i could override thoe whole black text on this skin to change to whole black but then that disables the users form selecting the their own default color and they would have to use the [color="color here"] code and ppl are to lazy to do that http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif so that's a no no for now...but as i said a few times now, if more ppl choose the skin that problem will fade away slowly but eventually at least 70-75% of the ppl will have a set font color besides using the black test

Venomous-Ninja = Umm, it doesn't take anyone to make skins. Its actually A LOT of work. If you delete on little thing in the CSS, you can destroy your whole skin, and if you don't know what you did or what you deleted, it can take a long time to fix it. Trust me, I know. They have a <span style='color:red'>Red</span> and <span style='color:black'>black</span> skin theme already. This is how you change your skin.

Go to "Your Control Panel" then you will se alot of tab's such as

"Summary"
"Personal Info"
"Email Settings"
"Topic Tracker"
"Account Options"
and "Modify Account".

Click "Account Options".

Then you should see something that say's "Board 'Skin'" now all you have to do is change it from "XVSSF" to "Nferno-Black" and then there you have your new skin. http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif

Indeed I have, it's more of a black/gray now. Started using it yesterday. My eyes are still adjusting but the feature I like the most is "the find all topics" one.
