oh... this happened to me many times too... on both versions....i dunno but it automatically got fixed on the downloaded.. and i deleted the temp files and refreshed it on the online version.. so it worked...

open internet explorer
go to tools:
internet options:
press delete files

try it again... and it should work!

i redownloaded it and now it saids Component Swdir.dll is not correctly registered:a file is missing or invalid

but the thing is, i downloaded MSVBVM60.DLL
so i got no clue help pls!!

To Fix your SwDir.dll problem simply follow these steps:

1:open up your control panel.
2:open up add/remove programs
3:look for two programs called MACROMEDIA SHOCKWAVE PLAYER & SHOCKWAVE and remove both of them.
4:download shockwave 8.5 from the link giving at the end.
5:install shockwave 8.5

There you go your problem should be fixed.

I suggest you use the download version of the game. It is faster, and a better default version of the game. Plus, it takes less bandwidth from the Street Fighter Online webhost:

It's a 15.0 MB download, on dialup it should take 40 minutes. Once it finishes downloading, you want to do the following:

1. Create a "New Folder" in My Documents. Name the Folder "SFO".
2. Open the sfo13f_full.exe file.
3. Where it says "Unzip to folder:" you want to press the "Browse" button; expand the My Documents folder and click on the "SFO" folder you created and press "OK".
4. Now where it says 'Unzip to folder', it should be alocated to "C:\My Documents\SFO".
5. Press "Unzip" and let the exe complete.
6. Go to the "SFO" folder, and click on the file with the SFO logo that says "SFO_smallwindow".

And you're set. Make sure not to move any of the files inside the folder.

i redownloaded SFO to my documents like you said.
than i went to add or remove programs and all i saw was Shockwave but i didnt see shockwave player.
i uninstalled shockwave and downloaded it again from the link you gave me but it is still giving me the error about Swir.dll

pls help me! i really want to play this game

and also wen i try to play the web version, it comes out saying i have a outdated version wen i try to make a new account. but the loading saids it is complete.

I had the same problem.. this is what you do:

Delete the "Control dll file" if you have the "MSVBVM60.DLL" file already.. if you don't have that file, go to http://www.streetfighteronline.com and get it.

After, extract the folder again.. extract the sfo13f_full file http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif

hey yeh i had the swrdll ( i cant spell it ) problem
basicly
i dont even no how it worked
just delete all the files,
leave street fighter online and everything for a few days
then re download everything into the directory C:\StreetFighterOnline ( it should already save there )
make sure u downloaded the "f" update too
then see wot happens
