Aye... let me put this in perspective for you... I don't even think I want to watch the video to say what I'm about to sayy... but in any case, I'll put it this way.

Black ppl calling others the "n" word, are more or less um... crap, dictionary doesn't have a nice word for this.. so I would just say "sub-par in the plain of grammar, ethics and human behavior" ... so they call themselves that, to strengthen the bond between them and add I would say, more meaning to the "togetherness" they want to share as being products from the same events in history.

This is the reason they get offended when people from other races tend to use the word, especially caucasians. To others it might seem hypocrytical since they already call themselves that... but you've gotta understand the psyche of these ppl to know why they always say... according to family guy "that's our word... you're not allowed to use it".

Like the show Ice Cube produced about a couple o' ppl switching races/places... you tend to realize that both races do have some sort of "hate" towards themselves... but when you're a black person, and the family stories that are passed down to you are the ones where, the first generation had to go through unnecessary hardship and imprisonment in ships... while being forced to eat so as to survive and keep a price value (human being... price value... I know, kinda sad)

But when your first generation has stories like that, and the second generation is one filled with harrassment from different groups, while not allowed to do things in public with others because you're regarded as "colored". Playing in a different league, and not allowed to compete in sports because you're "colored". Couple all these together and you have to understand that only one with a very, VERY open mind about life would just "keep on living" and "forget about everything".

Do these reasons legalize and formalize hatred and racism from blacks to whites ?? Not necessarily, but it would give you a way to think about the people that got affected and how the present generation is dealing with it. And please don't respond telling me that blacks have it equal these days, because that's not true.

If not for the NAACP (although they have their own shady moments http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif ) things wouldn't be as "great" as they are right now... so when you add these things together, you can at least have an understanding as to why people are the way they are.

Truth is... there will always be someone who has hate in their hearts for jews, mexicans, blacks, whites, chinese etc... It is impossible to make someone like a certain race... but it is possible to force someone to obey the laws of our communities... Even if you are the most racist person in the world... truth is you still have to obey the laws..so if you go out in public and harrass a certain race expect consequences... keep your racism to yourself, family and whoever eles cares to listen...

Now in this case envolving a teacher... this guy should of known not to say a racist remark back to a student even if the student said one to him... he should of wrote the student up on a discipline form and be done with the situation.. Instead he chosed to handle the situation in his own hands and in result paid the consquences.... 10 day suspension, diversity treatment and etc...

End note.... As a great teacher of mine once said..."There will always be a Hilter just waiting for someone not to care." In this case Im glad the students realized the wrong deed however small some may think it is... and reported it to higher officials who could address the situation properly...

racism = ignorance, Truely only an ignorant person would hate someone based on race alone... It's like hating someone for having blue eyes instead of green ones...it just isnt right no matter how someone may try to cover it up and make it look ok...

Hmm... racism, some humans are afraid of something different, from what they know or what they are used to and grew up with or perhaps taught... in this case, accepting someone different with a very noticible "exterior" such as skin color, or any other features is difficult, leading to discrimination, racism, etc.

In some cases small "minded" people are ignorant, only looking at one side of the picture, instead of looking at the whole picture and such ignorance leading to racism. As well as the treatment of their ancestors, and such, unable to forget and appreciate life and move on.

Racism is really not human nature, but something man-made... and now have to bare it's burden.

this doesn't shock me even though i am black i felt the pain and everything but... i knew one day that a teacher of any kind would one day say the "N" word. but the truth of the matter good thing the teacher did say it most ppl these days such as us blacks just say the word with no problem which is one of the reasons such a word would come out of teacher. In my school we use it as a slang term to try and get rid of the meaning but ppl don't understand that we want this so called "N" word to be rid of its tough impacting meaning. But for as i our useage of this word in my school we here it from everyone excluding the teachers. whites, blacks, mexicans etc students use it and really doesn't faze a lot of us but i think it does bother others and not even blacks just other races in general
