I can host just fine, and I guess people can join. When I host though, I can't talk in my hosted server. I'm not sure what to do. Even when I push the kick or shut down server button, nothing shows up on the chat.

What could be the problem? Someone please answer.

If you know what a router is, and you barely use it, then there isn't much of a point to keep it up.

for the shockwave, it MIGHT be the computer. It happens alot on my older one as well.

you unistall shockwave COMPLELETELY then do a fresh install of 8.5 1st then install version 10 on top of it.

when you unistall shockwave you should take a look in your system32 folder in windows.

for XP it should be this folder:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\Macromed

for Win9x/ME it might be the same...not sure but if not look for the Macromed folder in that folder, if it's not then it might just be in C:\WINDOWS\System\

if in that folder you see a "shockwave 8" or "shockwave 10" folder then go ahead and delete them both. then you reinstall 8.5 then 10 and SFO should work just fine and this is recommended for those that can never log in with the download version. http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif
