Default Ability To Pick Stages in DWX Mode

Yes, or No?

It could work one of Two Ways.

1. It will only show a list of AVAILABLE stages in DWX mode, such as the ones we cant pick in any other mode.

or

2. We can be able to pick any stage we have.

What this little feature would do is enable more/new stages. Seeing as any stages are under the current "requirements" since they need to be bigger for Hyper Jumps. But in DWX mode Hyper jumps are disabled allowing users to create/use more stages.

just make stages taller so they suit hyper jumps... then u can use them for any mode, not just DWX ? It's not that hard to add a sky to a background... sheesh!

he means creating smaller stages because in DWX modes you cant super jumps.

but all in all, its not a so good idea considering that stages are just Jpegs to begin with, may the stage be big or not, may it be colorfull or not, may it be darker. its all just an image anyway. i dont see whats gonna be so different between the stages now and the stages for DWX. they will all end up being the same.

I suggested this because some stages are just too short, and would only be useful in DWX mode. Like literally some stages cant fit a BG or sky in the top, since the way its designed For example an in-door dojo that isn't tall enough to support Hyper jumps, that means when you do hyper jump its just going to keep repeating the image as you jump, so it looks like your not jumping high and the game is just glitching the stage.

The size of the stage, sets the allowed movement area for character. Doing more work to have custom levels in DWX mode isn't necessary.
If we create a stage to fit ONLY the size of the SFO window, the characters will be restricted to the frame of the window, unable to move beyond the restraints of the levels size.
Meaning they will not be able to jump higher than the highest point of the picture placed in the background, or able to step side to side beyond the width of the picture in the background.

This way, instead of altering DWX mode, you can simply create your own limitations or conditions by adjusting the size of the "Level"

Noticed this years ago. Minimum settings 700 width x 400 height, if adjusted to about 300x80, it would seem as if the characters are fighting in a box, unable to jump very high at all. Of course, the high jumps still work, so it would be as if the characters can temporarily hover, but they wont go high at all.

yeah figured that one out when i tested out my tiny stage.
the problem block is that since th echarater seems to hover, they are sactually stuck in the edges and as such cannot attack or do a thing until they hit the ground again. which is why none of us actually made it. because it breaks the engines.

Lux the problem you speak of, is a limitation of the engine... and a limitation of the user who created the stage. i can take every single stage and make them 700x400 reguardless of what the stage looks like.

if stages got in that were not 700x400 which is the minimum size of th estages required to be in this game, then someone hasn'T been doing its job correctly. actually we even have stages that weren't even compressed and are doing almost a mega worth of an image. thats way too big as well when you consider we're supposed to not go over 300k. in file size. otherwise the game takes a long ass time to load the game files as the fight is already started.

to be honest most of the problems we have with stages isn'T even related to the stage itself but to the person who designed the stage to begin with. i understand you guys want to use stages that are originals from official games, but thats just the problem, all these games do not use the same resolutions. so they are totally imcompatible yet all you guys want is to still use the images without caring for that detail and it is that detail that actually makes the stages not compatible to begin with.

exemple, all SNK stages are fine, all capcom stages are fine... well most of the time.
but the other games like big bang beat... they are too small. they weren't designed to work with higher resolution.
people want high definition stages without knowing what high definition means.
when it comes to an image, stretching it doesn'T make it high definition.

if people would understand all these concept. we'd have way better stages here.
