sorry if this is repeated, but i was wondering what would happen if there was a foreground to some of the sceneries? i havent given much thought to it yet, but i was wondering, there would be a visible tree stump in the foreground so that when, e.g. ryu do their specials, it gives people something to hide behind so they dont loose life. of course, this will not only benefit the people new to the game, because the other player can superjump to the other side; it relies on skill as well on how u gert psat it and how u use it to ur advantage. is this a good or bad idea??? things in the foreground can be as small as a dustbin to hide behind or as big as throwable TNT barrels...

please post your views!!

nah lag has nothign to do with it, but if ya want foreground action it also means that there needs to be collision boxes on the stump as well, and anything that can get into the fight which means the characters won't be able to pass thru it they will need to jump over it. no sorry 2D fighting games aren't made for such things. if ya want that the game would need to go 3D which i doubt will be for a very very very very long time !

I reckon that as long as they dont get in the way of the fight but will break if you stand next to it and punch it . I know it sounds confusing but I dont know how to rephrase it.
