But the example not valid. We're talking Steve Nash and Derrick Rose.

NEVER! Lebron needs a ring before he can be compared to Kobe.

True but he will most definately get one before his career is over unless he has a freak accident.

I would say, Lebron being better than Kobe debate is perfect! In the Direction that Lebron is going right now he'll soon be better than Kobe, why I say this? Because he's a leader, He knows when to give the ball, when to shoot, defense is spectacular, Offensive game is booming, Now his points did go down from the time he was with Cleveland but I think he enjoys the passing and assist, then he like scoring anyways.

Also to add to what you said; he's never been blessed with team mates that can carry him if he's having a off day. Unlike Kobe who had Shaq to bail him out in multiple occasions.

Exactly, because once Kobe off, the whole team off, because it would take the leadership of Derrick Fisher or Meta World Peace to get them together because they don't have Shannon Brown, or Lamar Odom, so who do they have?

Speaking of leadership Kobe also had the great Phil Jackson coaching him aswell. Lets see how good he does with meh team mates and a new coach

Not as well as they was doing with Phil Jackson. I know that's for sure, Kobe haven't been Kobe as of late in my eyes.
who's more scarier, Michael Myers or Jason X. I think Jason, simply because he stalks you a little bit longer and he'll break in your house from all area's and kill you with this big long knife. That's more scary. Last edited by CiaraSpareNo1; 02-10-2012 at 02:31 PM. |

What a terrible argument.
Snugs, you let them disrespect a TWO-TIME MVP. Back to back. Nash absolutely carried those suns teams on his back, and got everyone paid. Shawn Marion, Joe Johnson, amare Stoudemire, all got paid because of Nash. He would've had his ring in 2007 if it weren't for the terrible ruling by the NBA and the spurs treating basketball like hockey. Rose was phenomenal, but I'd take today's Westbrook over mvp rose. Shawn Kemp use to be a rich man's Blake Griffin. Today, Blake stepped out of his shadow and is showing like he's the better player. LeBron absolutely needed the 1000 shooters and two hall of famers to help him win his two chips. Lots of people bag on kobe for having Shaq. Not enough bag on LeBron for having bosh and Wade. Even so, he needed a miracle from Allen to get his 2nd. Lol Despite popular opinion, Kobe still has the greater/better career. LeBron needs to do 1 of 2 things to overtake kobe in all time career. 1) Crack 30K points and 10K asts 2) win two more championships with Cleveland. If he fails to do either, I don't think he will overtake kobe on the all time list. Largely because he's still being projected on the list. If LeBron has a freak accident at his age and doesn't recover to his invincible stature, his career will plummet. Like how kobe was largely seen as better than Duncan until his Achilles injury. The narrative has changed. Duncan's longetivity and prolonged team success catapulted him above kobe. Fair or not. |

Lebron is about to prove all us haters wrong. When it’s all said and done he might actually be second or even first on the all time scoring list. His longevity/keeping himself healthy has been key. Lebron is definitely in the argument for greatest player of all time. Nash>Rose
