Default Clan resizing project

http://forums.streetfighteronline.co...428#post828428

From this point forward the cap on all clan rosters is five. Five to become official, five to stay official.

After weeks of round table discussion that frankly proves that democracy isn't dead led to this decision, it has fallen unto me to release the following:

The clan section is now in its most mature inception yet. Dispite a lot of bickering, we've figured out where the kinks are and together, we are working to revive and revitalize the clan scene of SFO. It all starts with the clans themselves, and less members means more clans, right?

So, let's see how it works out before you start screaming Attica, kay?

The current responsibility of all clan leaders is to decide who to keep and who to cut. Members who are cut will be granted the ability to make new clans as soon as they feel the desire.

Discuss.

Despite* hun

I think it's a good idea, but I feel like you'll have to increase the two week deadline as well. One of the five active members will go inactive here and there, so better to account for it now.

I think the 2 week deadline should stand, however there needs to be clear rules on what happens if people do go missing.

these are possible choices:

  • 1) The Clan mods congregate and make a decision dependent on where the battle is at, at the time of deadline.
  • 2) The battle is classed as incomplete and nobody wins
  • 3) The battle is classed as incomplete, and whoever has the most wins at the time of deadline is the winner. (incomplete battles might not be worth the same amount of points as official wins *idea*)
  • 4) the battle is at 2-2 , the deadline gets extended (by a clan mod) until the final matchup gets complete.

what do you guys think ?

i think options 2 and 3 could easily be abused and stir up alot of controversy. Option 4 seems reasonable

5 members to be official is fine and all but i think that a clan should have at least 6 members to participate in clan battle's just so there is a sub incase someone goes missing. If the 2 week deadline stands here are my suggestions on how it should pan out.

If the battle reaches 2 week deadline, and a member has gone mia they should immediately be replaced with the sub, and the battle should be extended to however long they decide. If the sub is also mia, that person forfeit they're matchup by default. This might keep the clan scene a bit more active.

Also, your right there needs to be clear rules if a person goes missing. As for Option 1: Having the clan mods congregate and make a decision dependent on where the battle is at, at the time of deadline would kinda be the opposite of that. There should be official rules that work for everyone, Rules that would also avoid clans from being rewarded a win when 2 or 3 of they're members have gone inactive. All the clan mods would have to do is enforce the (official) rules. That way it would be fair for everyone.

Standard 5 on 5 matches are still more than reasonable. You need win only three matches anyway.

So far it already looks like you guys are getting into the spirit of it.
