[ This has nothing to do with SFO ]
So my Home PC is kinda old and is a Windows XP. and runs super duper slow. Is it possible to install windows 7 on it? I wanted to re-install windows XP or 7 on it....but I don't have either disc...is there a way to reset it completely to manufactured status?

I think you need Vista to upgrade to 7
& I believe you hit f10 at the loading screen if you want to reset the pc. Not sure if you'd need the discs or not though

The PC was brought around '03 - '04 I dont think F10 settings work on it.

It doesn't matter when it was bought, if it has XP you should be able to access it from F10 or F8, I don't remember which one it is

Its possible to have windows vista/7 installed.. but with your hardware.. Might be a bad idea.
You have XP now? You should be able to reset the PC with the f10 key at first boot. If not, there are always ways to install what you want.

To stay on topic here:
ELite ken: which ever works better for ya, go for IT. Windows XP or Windows 7 Or you can always install Windows Vista, because I have it 2 on my laptop. Try it out sometime. |

the F10 Command simply does nothing
F8 command just prompts up and ask which driver i would like to use...and the only choice is "Windows XP Proffesional" after choosing it, it starts normally. and No I do not have the Disc. I was like 11 or 12 when this PC was brought. My new laptop that I brought a few moth ago didnt come with a W-7 disc....it was already installed.

That's because you make your own disk when you first start up new computers. If you don't have the F10 option than idk what to say about resetting to factory default but if you're trying to upgrade to vista you can just go ahead and do that from where you're at now
I'm not sure about upgrading straight from XP to 7 though. I remember people complaining that you could only get Win7 if you have Vista
